Image Selection 'Shape'

-These images are from 'Shape', this magazine is for woman who want to read about health and how to keep their bodies in shape.
-The top image is a paparazzi shot and has two photos of the same celebrity from before her weight loss and after. The colours are set for woman as pink is a feminine colour. The image underneath is a 'Shape total body toning set' which they can buy straight of the 'Shape' website, the video next to it explains how the toning set works.
-The relationship between the photos and the target audience is that a reader of 'Shape' will be expecting these images as they are looking to get their bodies fit and healthy.

Image Selection 'Closer'

- This image is a paparazzi shot which is not a set up,t he pictures been taken outside their house which will tell the readers that something is happening with these two. The magazine on purposely choose two pictures of both of them smiling, which will indicate that something is going on between both of them as the caption underneath says 'Matt and Katie romping?'.
- The relationship between this image and the magazines audience is that a reader of 'Closer' is expecting these paparazzi images as it indicates gossip and its like the reader knows everything about their lives.

Image Selection 'Vogue'

-This image is of a model who is modelling clothes as the new fashion, the focus on this photo is mainly focused on the model.
-The story being told in this photo is very simple, a girl who is waiting at a train station or bus stop?, but this photo doesn't look modern as todays bus shelters and train station do not look like that. What the image is trying to say is that the vintage look is the new fashion, as her clothes do not look contemporary and her hair looks like a 60's hair style.
-The relationship between the image and the magazines target audience is that someone who buys 'vogue' is expecting these sort of images in the magazine because they are the ones who want to know about the new fashions.

My Genre for my Music Magazine

Having researched different genres of music magazines, I feel i have found a gap in the market. I have not been able to find any magazines aimed at a dubstep audience. My choosen genre for my magazine is Dubstep its a recent genre that has only r ecently coming to radio. I choose this as my genre because there are no other dubstep magazines apart from music magazines which have issued dubstep to introduce the music to people. In my google research I know which magazines Dubstep has been issued in, this link showed which magazines have issued Dubstep, Click To View Dubstep Directory.

____________________________________________________________________________

When I typed in 'Dubstep' on google images I picked up on that if there was a 'Dubstep' magazine the set colors on the front cover would be red, black and white.

Hybrid Music Magazines

Rolling Stone Magazine

These two magazines are both front covers from the 'Rolling Stone', which is one of the worlds most popular magazine. The 'Rolling Stone' is a hybrid magazine, as you can tell from the two frontcovers above. One of the covers has a teenage boy band which the readers who would buy this issue would be teenage girls, where as the cover next to it is of Lil Wayne who is a Hip-hop rapper, the readers who would buy this issue would be girls and boys from ages 15 to 20 year olds, both of the photos have a rock style feel as on one of the covers the artists has tattoos all over his body. Both of the covers have simiular font except the second cover which the font is stretched out, the colors are very original and plain.

NME Magazine

NME Magazine

This magazine has a range of different genres including indie, rock, and electro, mostly the magazine issues new british indie bands. The masthead on the magazine is very simple but bold and the magazine has synergy as the masthead 'NME' people automatically know what magazine it is.The picture on this frontcover stands out and as you can tell the singer looks very indie/electro because of her makeup and hair. The captions around the magazine are telling the readers what will be included in that issue. The title 'The future 50' is telling the readers whats going to come up in the future, this is one of the main issues in the magazine thats why the font is very large and is yellow so it will stand out to the reader.
This front cover was 'NME' back in the 1970s 'NME' used to be called New Musical Express when it was first published in 1952.
